This whole journey could come to an abrupt halt really quickly if we don’t get out of our stateroom. No, not stateroom. Suite. Need to get that terminology right. It seems Seabourn has loaded on so many amenities and features that a great deal of the next ten days may very well be spent right here in our suite. Seriously. This is nice.
First, think Princess Cruises Mini-suite but wider with a larger balcony to get an idea space-wise. Then gut the space from wall to wall and floor to ceiling and start over. This is way more than a mini-suite. No offense Princess, you know we love you. But really; Seabourn has gone all out in design, function and efficiency.
Start with the icing on the cake, Molton Brown pampering products with names like “The Heavenly Gingerlily Bath” and “The Oceanic De-Tox Bath” then throw in names like Hermes and LOccitane from France to get a feel for the level of quality present here. At first glance, these suites are impressive. How they will work out over the next ten days, time will tell, but one thing is for certain: this is not where steerage stays.
The walk-in closet provides ample space for a trunk-load of clothing without touching a wide array of other storage spaces from drawers to cabinets, all efficiently placed and beautifully designed to add beauty to the space. In other words, we could have brought a whole lot more stuff and had plenty of places to put it.
Busy catching up email via super fast Internet access, a phone call to room service brought a nice lunch and beverages, set up with white table linens on the balcony.
Take a look at Whitney’s Facebook gallery of just our suite. Really, is there some reason to leave this space?
