Princess Cruises has revealed story #6 on its blog “Inspired to Cruise,” featuring a family that found their loved ones who had moved to overseas weren’t as far from home as they thought.
In the story, “Our Cruise to Visit Family Living Far Away,” found at www.InspiredtoCruise.com, Patricia Martin of Glasgow, Scotland tells of a cruise to Australia to visit her niece, who was a bit homesick after relocating Down Under. Little did they know that the Scottish flags they packed to hang on their balcony would take on special meaning on this voyage.
Each week during 2012 the blog will feature a new reason to cruise, gradually sharing a total of 52 inspiring passenger stories about what compelled them to take a cruise vacation.
The blog also showcases a short “Escape Inspiration” video about a favorite moment at sea. This week’s video, introduced by Master Chef Alfredo Marzi, showcases the creation of Princess’ famous pizza.
Which reminds us of two wonderful books we have here in the office from Princess Cruises, Chef Marzi’s Cookbook “Courses: A Culinary Journey” which features hundreds of fabulous recipes and “50 Essential Experiences: The Travel Bucket List” taken from last year’s Princess Blog that did a different destination each week, through the eyes of Princess Cruises long-serving employees both shoreside and at-sea. I’m about half-way through that one, reliving each week and can already tell that book will be a great reference for years to come.
