This Valentine’s Day, Princess Cruises offers tips for “Letting the Love Flow” courtesy of the “Love Boat’s” iconic Captain Stubing (the beloved Gavin MacLeod).
According to Gavin MacLeod, loving husband to Patti for 27 years, “It is love’s simplest gestures that make the greatest impact. So this Valentine’s Day, let your love flow freely and I promise it will float right back to you. Here are my top tips to help you celebrate the love in your life.”
- Send a love note… I’m a long-standing fan of the hand-written note. Place a little note by your loved one’s bedside or next to their coffee cup. It can be short and sweet but you can be sure it will be appreciated and remembered.
- Take a walk down memory lane… For those of us who have enjoyed a long-standing love, it’s often special to take a look back at those early moments of your blossoming relationship. That can mean recreating your first date, or reframing a favorite old photo of you two together that has a special significance.
- Plan to renew your vows… Most happily married couples agree that their wedding day was one of the most special memories of their relationship. So why not relive it! Patti and I have renewed our vows many times aboard Princess Cruises’ ships and it’s incredibly romantic! They host a special vow renewal ceremony on all of their ships every Feb. 14, with thousands of cruisers renewing their commitment to each other.
