Princess Cruises, no stranger to television as the line of the Love Boat, has a new type of cruise ship entertainment venue that passengers will enjoy aboard the new Royal Princess. Taking the audience behind the scenes to share the excitement of a working television studio, the high-tech Princess Live! will showcase live television broadcasts, intimate performances from musicians, and special events such as cooking shows, plus will feature an adjacent café.

“Princess Live! will be an exciting new experience for passengers,” said Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises executive vice president. “Not only will they enjoy the high energy of being part of a live television production, but they also will have a new opportunity to see more intimate performances from many of our onboard entertainers.”

A Princess Live! Café will be adjacent to the studio. Passengers will be able to watch the information about the ships ports of call, position, and other interesting points of interest. The café will offer coffees, teas, and fresh squeezed juice. In the morning, the café will have fresh-baked croissants and pastries available.

In addition to the TV studio, the Princess Theater will be the largest on the Royal Princess. The Princess Theater will have a new layout with better line-of-sight viewing of the stage. The renovated Vista Lounge will provide a venue for dance and comedy acts in a club like setting. The Vista Lounge will also be used for other activities during the day.
