Carnival Cruise Lines recently announced that they were joining with the American Cancer Society to send 25 area kids with cancer to Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis, Florida. Spending a week at the American Cancer Society’s R.O.C.K. (Reaching Out to Cancer Kids) Camp, the move is yet another example of cruise lines giving back.
The campers, ages 7-16, and their families will meet at Carnival headquarters for breakfast and fun activities before boarding a bus to R.O.C.K camp where they will join more than 100 youths from around Florida for a week of exciting activities that enable them to experience the fun and adventure of summer camp.
Founded in 1976, R.O.C.K. Camp was the first summer camp created for children with cancer in the United States.
