Among a refreshing selection of entertainment options on board new Carnival Breeze is the new “Punchliner Comedy Club Presented by George Lopez,” a partnership with the popular comedian and TV personality. We know Lopez knows about comedy. But who knew he could cook?
In addition to the Comedy Club, Carnival Breeze also features The Punchliner Comedy Brunch presented by George Lopez, promoted by the Carnival as “an interesting twist on the traditional mid-morning feast”, with some menu items created by Lopez himself.
Served by efficient crew members, I tried Lopez-inspired, Hueveos Rancheros, a chicken quesadilla that by itself would be a win for Carnival’s “curator of comedy.” Add fried eggs and some special touches and this one adds a new dimension to typical brunch offerings, much like Lopez does for comedy.
Served with a basket of warm, fresh-baked breakfast pastries, we tried Blueberry Pancakes, French Toast and more. Anything on the extensive food menu is included and a special cocktail menu is available too.
The Punchliner Comedy Brunch presented by George Lopez is available on days at sea and also features ten minute performances on the hour by Lopez-selected comedians Tom Pepper and Austin Knight between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
