Seasoned cruise travelers know that getting ready for an upcoming cruise vacation takes more than just packing and making sure they have the right travel documents.   Those two checklist items are important but becoming familiar with the ship we are on, the ports of call we will visit and taking a good look at other elements of the cruise experience before boarding are just as critical.  That done, thoughts turn to arriving at the pier and many travelers choose to come in town the day before sailing, taking advantage of Snooze and Cruise packages offered by local hotels.  Sailing from Port Canaveral, Comfort Inn Cocoa Beach is a good choice for a number of reasons.

“Whether you’re coming to Cocoa Beach to enjoy our miles of unspoiled beaches or staying with us before a cruise you’ll find that the Comfort Inn & Suites, located in the heart of Cocoa Beach, is the perfect hotel,” says the hotel’s web site.

We’re not sure about that “perfect” designation but this one is pretty close.  Close to shopping & dining,  the hotel is located just steps from the beach and 10 minutes from the Port Canaveral cruise terminals. Transporation to and from the cruise terminals and long-term parking is available with their Park & Cruise package for those driving to the port.  The hotel’s  exclusive Fly, Snooze & Cruise package includes r/t transfers to Orlando airport, accommodations and cruise terminal transfers.

Save On Parking Cruise terminal rates are $15/day. Going on a 7 day cruise? That’s $105. For less than the price of parking you can enjoy our Park & Cruise package that gives you a spacious, tastefully decorarated, ground floor Standard Room, parking during your cruise and shuttle transfers to and from the hotel. Need a little more room? Upgrade to one of their Courtyard or Ocean View Suites for a small upgrade charge.

After cruise bonus. If you’re like most people, when you return from your cruise you’ll want a day to unwind from all the cruise festivities. Or maybe you just want to extend your Florida vacation for an extra day or two. When you stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites before your cruise, you’ll receive a complimentary upgrade for your “after cruise” days. So, if you stayed in a Standard Room before the cruise, we’ll upgrade you to a Suite on your return. Enjoyed a Courtyard Suite before the cruise, you’ll love the upgrade to one of our Ocean View Suites. Be sure to ask for details when you check in.

Make One Trip, Get Two Vacations
When you book the Comfort Inn Cocoa Beach’s Fly, Snooze & Cruise Package you’ll spend the night before your cruise on the beach and not an airport hotel in Orlando. And, you’ll save money. The  Comfort Inn Cocoa Beach provides round-trip transportation from Orlando international airport to the hotel located beach side in the heart of Cocoa Beach and just 10 minutes from the cruise terminals.

Vacation #1 – Take a stroll on the beach the night before your cruise. Walk to a local beach side restaurant and enjoy enjoy a local seafood dinner and our legendary Florida sunset. Sleep in the following morning and arrive refreshed and unhurried at your cruise ship!

Vacation #2 – The following morning  the Comfort Inn Cocoa Beach will get you to the cruise terminal refreshed and relaxed. Get on board and let the fun begin.

When you return to port your Comfort Inn Cocoa Beach transportation will be waiting to whisk you to Orlando to catch your flight home. If you’d like to stay and extra day after your cruise, they can make all the arrangements for you.

Fly, Snooze & Cruise Package, starting a $195* for 2 people,includes:

  • Round trip transportation from Orlando International Airport to Cocoa Beach
  • Overnight accommodations
  • Welcome cocktail
  • Transfers direct to your cruise terminal for 2 people.

What Will You Do With The Money And Time You Save
Many of those cruising out of Port Canaveral for the first time are surprised to discover that Orlando International airport is located approximately 1 hour east of the port. For most, this means you must arrange for overnight accommodations at an airport hotel on the night of your arrival.

Upon arrival at the airport you must take a shuttle to the hotel and then take another shuttle back to the airport the following morning where you then board a bus which takes you to the cruise terminals located over an hour away. Typical charge for the Mear’s bus to the cruise terminals is about $90.00/person or $180 for two people, round trip. For about the same price you can spend the night at the beach and take your cruise.

A lot of cost. A lot of busses. A lot of stress. And who wants to be at an airport hotel when they are on vacation?
